Henry Tate’s Legacy

On Millbank in London
sitting outside the Tate
Killing time for a moment
here whilst I wait
I’ve seen Hepworth and Turner
Some Klee and some Moore
And Tracy Emin’s old bed
with a mess on the floor

It’s been a wonderful day
and I’m pleased I’ve been here
For these visits to Tate
always fill me with cheer
And now with contentment
from the things I’ve been shown
I have memories to treasure
as I wend my way home
