Every inch of deck space
where there’s a little sun
was taken up with loungers
since the day had just begun
Reservation is forbidden
but people do it all the time
Leave their towels then disappear
It really is a crime
But never mind, we found a place
Sheltered, in the lea
where the sun is bright and warm
and we can watch the passing sea
I’ve walked the promenade, deck 6
Two miles, eleven laps
where, excepting gales around the prow
made it without mishaps
So now it’s time to sit and chill
with my iPod and a book
Glancing up from time to time
to the ocean for a look
