Heaven, waiting, sings

It’s peaceful here, these darkened rooms
this ward, this evening hour
A deepened sleep. Breath in, breath out
from this still fading flower

Autumn’s come to this long life
as here we sit and wait
knowing that the time is close
The hour now is late

Breath in, breath out. A comfort here
We listen and we hear
Feeling peaceful, resolute
there falls a passing tear

Earlier we shared a prayer
the five of us as one
on this an evening of a day
to one of us now come

Breath in, breath out. The comfort stays
yet, waiting in the wings
the loved ones who have passed before
as heaven, waiting, sings

New Music again

No.5 of 6 in ‘The Music’ series from Jemverse

The quietness of the woodland brook
is always worth a second look

For with its trickle so it sings
and with it a new music brings

Life music again

No.4 of 6 in “The Music” series from Jemverse

Quite often then
my eyes will dance
‘tho my feet
are slower there
For there is music
all around
in life most
everywhere

Music again

3 of 6 in “The Music” series from Jemverse

It lifts and refreshes
It adds spring to steps
It soothes and it mellows
The louder it gets

It hits you sometimes but
Never hurts when it does
It brings smiles and enjoyment
And does this because

It is comfort and solace
It is all that and more
It is rejuvenation
It is music – encore!

If music be the food of love, play on,
Give me excess of it; that surfeiting…

Music days again

2 of 6 in ‘The Music’ series from Jemverse

On days when it’s raining
my music will play
From the time I awaken
’til the end of the day
It’s an escape I enjoy
and will often return
topping up with the downloads
and the CDs I burn
It’s a remedy to cure
‘most any malaise
So sometimes all of us
need our music days

The Music again

1 of 6 in ‘The music series’ from Jemverse

Back lit through the dry-ice swirl
the player comes to fore
his nimble fingers on the frets
the crowd cries out for more

The singer steps up to the mic
narration in the song
the scene is set, the story told
the crowd sings loud along

The rhythm pounds, the bass is felt
the lights pulsate and shine
the ambience is magical
the crowd claps there in time

The music as it should be heard
and lived and felt and seen
our heroes up there on the stage
the crowd lives every dream

Tri-Haiku XVIII (Summer’s Child)

I am summer’s child
Born of Spring, I blossom and
bloom to full glory

I am summer’s child
My warmth grows stronger by the
day as sunshine comes

I am summer’s child
You will know me as the Spring
Such is my purpose

Pink III

I’m bold and I’m gorgeous
Bright in the sun
Pink, I am all about
life that’s begun
And I have no comparison
for tears or a smile
As you’ll not see such beauty
again for a while

Pink II

I lay as soft carpet
pink where I fall
Whilst above me all turns to green

My task it is over
as with beauty I fade
leaving growth wherever I’ve been

Pink

The breeze has blown
all the pink to the ground
from the blossom up there in the tree
Like a carpet it lies
with a hint of surprise
which is very appealing to me

So I whipped out my phone
on my way back to home
and took a few pictures to keep
For it’s lovely to see
and breathtaking to me
so much that it caused me to weep
