Lost to time passing

In a small corner I curl
turning pages, I am lost to imagination
oblivious to time passing
minutes meld to hours
And this time is mine
Absorbing words from far away minds
Caught in that beautiful moment
when words caress my soul
with a comfort wholly realised

Jem, Master of words, reader of minds,
Sometimes ‘Wow!’ is all I can get out
    here in Sheridan Wyoming
I’ve gone to & from my phone
    all Sunday afternoon
    & just when I think it’s time
    to close my virtual book
you draw me right back in again!

    Jem, Forgive my presumptuousness.
I found myself in that little library in your photo, sitting on a footstool; guess who’s book was in my lap? The following was produced after “getting drawn back in”. Thank you for your life in words!

    Musing Him

She told him from the get-go
    she was musing him
his words so smooth & alive
    they dance before her eyes
    embrace an ailing heart
    a holistic wordsmith
    once, twice, thrice
    she’ll read her favorites
    several times
    even shared out loud
with a friend & fellow writer
    (who’s name is Jeremy)
    the treasure trove she’s found
years of life’s words of wealth
    wishing his collection
    was published, bound
hers in hand & on the shelf!
