Venture outside

Early morning, still dark and I'm barely awake
hard to believe that it's almost daybreak
yet morning it is so I will for day's sake
in a moment venture outside

But it's windy out there and blowing a gale
and I'm not that enamoured with fear I would fail
with me being out there in wind rain and hail
just to venture outside

Yet out there I must for the new day is there
and though yet still sleepy I'm growing aware
of challenges waiting and moments to share
if only I venture outside
