The Leibster Award

Got nominated for a new award
Which I am honoured to receive
This one’s called “The Leibster”
(About ‘discovery’ I believe)

Got asked eleven questions
About a variety of stuff
Thought I’d answer in a verse
‘Cos the prose was not enough

I started blogging because I capture words
About life to make you smile
My earliest memory? Sitting in a sink
Where I was bathed, once in a while

Wordsworth’s my greatest influence
My favourite film is ‘Brighton Rock’
A phrase I overuse? Let’s see…
Well ‘smile’ is used a lot

The coastline makes me happy
The beach and lapping seas
I’m at my best in summer months
With lavender on the breeze

Simon Cowell disturbs me
He’s killing music all the time
He should be made illegal
For what he does is just a crime

My family are my best dinner guests
My favourite book is really ‘three’
The series written by Kate Mosse
“Languedoc” the trilogy

I have many things I treasure
So it’s hard to pick just one
But pressed, I guess I’d choose my Mac
‘Cos using it’s great fun

And the thing that would the most improve
The quality of my life?
To retire and have more time at home
with my soulmate who’s my wife.

So, if you’re one of those who don’t, sorry to have troubled you but as that doesn’t stop the inspiration, I hope you’ll simply accept the thanks and sentiment instead.

A massive thank you then to John Mark Miller (aka ‘The Artistic Christian‘) for nominating Jemverse for the award. Mark’s blog is dedicated to the discussion of music, art and culture from a distinctive Christian worldview. If you need a little inspiration or motivation in your life, give it a visit; some good stuff here.
