Two Dodoitsus (I – Saturday)

Weekend and Saturday comes
and the mercury still climbs
Summer well and truly here
Felt within this heat

Two Tanagas (I – Saturday)

Saturday and sunshine here
Typical for time of year
This summer's child so full of cheer
in these four lines, made quite clear

Tanaga is a Tahitian poetic 4-line rhyming stanza each with 7 syllables

Tri-tanka XIII – Saturday

6 of 7 for Tri-tanka week

Following coffee
my Saturday slow starting
pauses yet again
Cathartic indecision
rules and I’m happy with that

For this is my rest
Snoozing may well play a part
staring into space
and doing little except
drinking coffee and resting

Music plays a part
as will reading and a game
or another snooze
For this is my Saturday
mine to do with as I choose

Seven days revisited #6 (Saturday)

Saturday
Arrives and
Tiredness fades
Until
Refreshingly
Diminished
Another week of
Yesterdays pass

Slow down now and slip away

Saturday

Arrives and

Tiredness fades

Until

Diminished,

Another week of

Yammer passes
